Do you think civilization on our planet is like an ant hill which gets destroyed by cataclysms over and over?

I'd say we are overdue. We are quickly approaching the point where chimps have a more sophisticated civilization than humans. For failing to live in harmony with nature, we will pay the price one way or the other. Socrates, Epictetus, Seneca, Musionious Rufus, and Xeno all tried to spell it out but we lost the plot.
